- Returning College Students - As you settle into your summer
routines, please watch the bulletin for activities within the parish. If you have served as a reader, EMHC, or altar server, please notify the parish office if you would like to be added back on to the summer schedules. Also, if you would like to volunteer as an usher or greeters, let us know.
- St. Fiacre's Garden - If you are interested in securing a garden
section for the 2012 growing season in the Church Garden at St. Joseph South, please call Margaret Hogeboom at 429-4351. St. Fiacre's Garden is a perfect place to grow friendships, faith and food. If you would like to get to know more people in our parish, eat fresh picked vegetables and save money on your grocery bill, call Margaret for more details.
- Catholic Committee on Scouting: The Catholic Committee on
Scouting congratulates the members of our parish who received Catholic religious emblems for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Read the letter from the Diocese naming and congratulating our scouts.
- Lighthouse Media CDs - The Knights of Columbus donated the
beautiful Lighthouse Media CD display stands which are located in the backs of St. Joseph Downtown and South churches. The stands are stocked with professionally recorded presentations by leading Catholic clergy, theologians and lay speakers on various topics of our Catholic faith providing inspiration and spiritual growth for our parishioners to take home and share with others. Take one home, pass it on to a friend, or bring it back after listening and choose another.

- Prayer Line. If you know of someone who is in need of prayer,
please call our Prayer line at 422-5533.
- Flowers for the Altar. If you would like to have flowers placed in
the Church for special occasions or in honor/memory of loved ones, please call the Parish Office for dates @ 983-1575.
- Adoration Chapel. Subs are needed for the Adoration Chapel.

- Rosary Repairs Available. Contact Merrie Rohm at 429-7817 if
your rosary is in need of repair. She will do repairs for St. Joseph parishioners at no charge and will even make arrangements for pick up and delivery. She is also looking for old rosaries, broken rosaries and rosary parts (crucifixes, center pieces and beads) to recycle them into new rosaries which will be given out at our local nursing homes. Please leave the rosary parts in the envelope in the Adoration Chapel hallway or drop them off at the Parish office.
- Making a Report of Sexual Misconduct: A report of sexual
misconduct may be initiated at the Diocese of Kalamazoo’s Sexual Misconduct Question and Reporting Line (877) 802-0115. A caller will be requested to provide his or her name and telephone number. All calls regarding sexual misconduct will be returned, usually within one hour. This toll-free telephone number has been established as a part of the Diocese’s effort to protect children, young people and other vulnerable people in our schools, parishes and ministries. This line is for reporting suspected sexual misconduct or child abuse within Diocesan institutions and ministries only. If you have some other concern about Diocesan schools, parishes, or ministries, please contact the appropriate Diocesan school, parish, or office directly.

- Virtus Training - Virtus Protecting God's Children training
sessions are held regularly throughout the Diocese. All adults who work with children in the parish or at the school must have this training. Go to the Diocese website for dates/locations of sessions and registration. There is a training session coming up at St. Catherine of Siena on June 11 @ 6:00 PM.
- Catholic Relief Service's Operation Rice Bowl - You may make a
contribution by check payable to St. Joseph Parish, with "Operation Rice Bowl" written in the memo line of the check. You may drop the rice bowls into boxes provided at the back of the church or drop the rice bowls and contribution checks off at the Parish Office.
- St. Joseph Church Migrant Ministry Project - From now until April
29, a food offering of Rice & Pinto Beans can be placed in containers marked "Migrant Ministry" at the main entrance of the churches. If you prefer, a financial donation would be welcomed. Checks may be made payable to St. Joseph Church/Migrant Ministry and placed in the collection basket. Last year we provided food and clothing to 200 Migrant families in our area! Thank you..
- Christian Foundation for Children and Aging. Please visit

- Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) -
Founded by the bishops of the United States, for 40 years CCHD has funded community groups that seek justice and create lasting change, fight poverty in America, and defend human dignity. More on CCHD.
- Catholic Relief Services Collection - This collection was taken
up on March 17-18 to support six Catholic agencies benefiting millions of vulnerable, displaced, and impoverished families and individuals around the world. If you missed the collection at Mass, you may drop your envelope off at the parish office. For more information about CRS, go to www.crs.org.
- Holy Land Collection: On Good Friday, our parish took up the
Holy Land Collection. This Pontifical Collection allows the Franciscans and others to continue caring for Christianity's holiest sites and for God's people in the Holy Land. To learn more visit: www.myfranciscan.org and click on Good Friday.
