Serving the Parish
Extraordinary Ministers of
Holy Communion
Lector
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy
Communion assist the priest in
distributing the Body and Blood
of Christ to the faithful at Mass.
One should be a confirmed
Catholic with a firm grasp of the
real presence of Christ in the
Eucharist in order to serve as a
Extraordinary Minister of Holy
Communion.
As a reader, a person assists at
Mass by proclaiming the first and
second readings.  One should be
a confirmed Catholic in order to
help out in this fashion.
