WORLD YOUTH DAY 2011
On August 11, 2011 - August 22, 2011, we traveled to Portugal to spend
3 days in Fatima, then traveled to Madrid, Spain, to participate in World
Youth Day.  We were extremely excited about spending time with
hundreds of thousands of Catholic youths as well as having Mass with
the Holy Father on August 20.
What is the Frassati Society? (Young Adults 21+)

This group is for Young Adults 21+ that want to explore their faith in a very
relevant way and at the same time applying their faith to their daily life. All
while enjoying an agreeable meal with friends at local restaurants! Sounds
like a pretty good night to me. Our first meeting will be a "meet and greet"
night at the Rose Center with Appetizers and drinks and a chance to learn
more about Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati the name sake of our society
and a chance to meet some other young adults within our Parish.

What is TNT?        (Middle Schoolers)

TNT was developed as a place where all middle school students (6th-8th
grade), like yourself, can go to have a blast with your friends in a Catholic
environment, feel accepted, and learn about God's plan for your life-all in a
fun and exciting environment where it is safe to be you! Once here, we meet
and enjoy the fun and realities of a ministry built around Jesus Christ and
His Church through great games, heart-felt prayer, solid teaching, and
meaningful conversation where you will be challenged to pray together,
share, and ask questions. It's a great place to get to know God, learn more
about His Word and the Catholic Church, have lots of fun, and build
everlasting friendships! We hope you'll come and check us out!

A little TNT trivia…
Why is it called "TNT"? In the Fall of 2002, the group had a competition to
come up with a good name and decided on "Teens-N-Truth." However, a
week after we finalized the name, a 6th grader (who will remain unnamed to
protect the innocent!) said, "What does TNT stand for again?" When others
told him, "Teens-N-Truth," he responded, "But I'm not a teenager yet!" So
we then renamed the group to "Tweens-N-Truth" to cover the "in-
betweeners" - those of you who are in middle school, but aren't yet
teenagers as well as those of you who are teenagers, but are still in middle
school!
What is DTS?  (High Schoolers/College)

The Dead Theologians Society is a Catholic apostolate for high
school age teens and college age young adults. Through the Saints
of yesterday, the Dead Theologians Society inspires the youth of
today to become the saints of tomorrow. A special charism of the
Dead Theologians Society is to pray for the release of the Souls in
Purgatory. Its motto is, “Dead to the World, alive in Christ!” This is
inspired by Romans 6:11 where St. Paul tells us to be dead to sin but
alive in Christ Jesus.
